World Book day
Students were thrilled to see many of the staff at Leeds East Academy dressed in a variety of book characters in celebration of the 19th World Book Day.
There was a real buzz of excitement as the English Department appeared to have been taken over by Harry Potter and his friends. Elsewhere Alice in Wonderland worked alongside Matilda whilst Wally made surprise appearances throughout the day.
Shrieks echoed around the building as language students were greeted at the class-room door by the Woman in Black.
“I absolutely love World Book Day!” said Beckie in Year 8. “I think it's great seeing all the teachers dressed up and can't wait to see who they have come as this year.”
