Showcasing our performing arts 

Leeds East Academy's dedicated performers really out did themselves for this year's Summer Showcase.

Mrs Spencer-Matthews, Mr Robinson and Miss Manners worked with a range of students from Years 7 - 10 on a variety of Music, Dance and Drama pieces.

Highlights included contemporary dance created in collaboration with Phoenix Dance Theatre on their Wind Rush Project and musical numbers that have been showcased at Leeds East Live at Leeds College of Music this half term.

Mrs Spencer-Matthews said: “working with all of the students involved has been an absolute joy. I can't take credit for this wonderful performance, it's all down to our fabulous students.”

The evening was compared by the ever hilarious Bethen in Year 8 who is well on her way to a fantastic career in comedy. It was great to see so many parents, friends and members of our local community coming out to support our kids - I'm sure they all agree, a great night was had by all!
