Pitching with Confidence
Congratulations to Karina in Year 11, who is Leeds East Academy's student of the week.
Karina has been a valuable help and support for a new student to the school, Angelika. Karina has also improved her attendance over recent weeks. Her attendance during mock exams this has been 100%. During CT Day Karina showed resilience outside of her comfort zone through providing a confident and well-structured presentation to The Business Dragons, which led to her and fellow group member Alexandra Lazukova taking first place in the competition.
Ms Mumby said: "Karina had created a well thought out proposal for the Trinity Kitchen Challenge. She then created a visually exciting powerpoint and delivered it with confidence to the Dragons Den and it was by far the best presentation of the day. It was a pleasure to watch and even more impressive given that English is not her first language."
