Student of the Week

Congratulations to Connor, who is Leeds East Academy's Student of the Week.
Connor originally attended Parklands Primary School. At school he really enjoyed his Mathematics lessons, a subject area in which he feels he makes great progress thanks to a deep interest in the subject. In his lessons, Connor enjoys learning about all the different aspects of Mathematics. Additionally, he also enjoys PE and feels he has a natural ability in sport.
Through everything he does, Connor demonstrates the Academy's core value of resilience. Connor's Mum said: "Connor is determined with anything he does, even if he can’t do it first time."
At the end of Year 6, Connor achieved an average score of 115 (Gold) for English and Mathematics. Connor’s flight path shows he is now expected to achieve a score of 8 by the end of Year 11.
Reflecting on his future plans, Connor said: "I am not sure what I want to do when I grow up but I do want to be successful in life."
Mr Stokes adds: "Well done to Connor, who shares my own passion for Mathematics! Connor's progress and growing ability in the core subjects of English and Maths will take him very far in whatever career he may choose in the future. Keep up the good work!"
