Sports Day 2016

Leeds East Academy students in Years 7 to 10 enjoyed taking part in this year’s Sports Day despite a slightly wet start to the event.

 The weather couldn't stop everyone's enthusiasm and the students were able to take part in a wide range of activities including Athletics, Basketball, Football, Rugby, Dodgeball 5000m Team Endurance Challenge and Rounders.

 Ms Moss said: “There was a great atmosphere with a sense of friendly competition as the students competed with their coaching groups, each representing a country from this year's Olympic Games. As well as our own staff running events, we also had Street Works Soccer and The Leeds Rhinos Foundation running events, giving the students a fantastic experience! The day finished in glorious sunshine with some excellent sprint and relay finals as well a brilliant staff race!”
