Rotary Citizenship Awards 2018

LEA Pupils Receive Award from the Lord Mayor

On Monday 15th January 2018, young people from across Leeds, including pupils at Leeds East Academy, were awarded the prestigious Leeds Rotary Citizenship Award.

The Young Citizen Awards is an annual award ceremony which celebrates the achievements of young people who have helped others within their schools, family or the local community. Students were invited to the Leeds Rotary Young Citizen Awards following nominations by school staff for exceptional citizenship and community service.

Students were rewarded with a selection of books, chosen by themselves prior to the ceremony, presented by the Lord Mayor of Leeds at the ceremony in the Banquet Hall of the Civic Hall, Leeds.

Congratulations to Leeds East Academy pupils, Charlie and Ashleigh.

Charlie is currently outperforming her academic targets in three subjects; she has showed resilience and worked exceptionally hard in school.

Ashleigh is a valuable part of the Leeds East Academy community and a role model to peers. She is receiving outstanding marks for effort and attitude after working hard. She also helps look after younger students at Leeds East Academy.
