Rotary Award Winners

Two Leeds East Academy students have been awarded the prestigious Leeds Rotary Citizenship Award.

Sam Harris and Kodey Dickinson were commended for outstanding community service in a ceremony held in the Banqueting Suite of Leeds Civic Hall, in the presence of the Lord Mayor of Leeds.

The students were accompanied by Mr Reynolds, who said: “Each of the students were presented by the Lord Mayor of Leeds with a certificate, a bundle of books and the Lord Mayor’s pin badge. The students were also accompanied by Miss Reeder and their own families, who were bursting with pride. Well done to Sam and Kodey on receiving this excellent commendation of their above and beyond citizenship.”

The Lord Mayor, who presented the awards, commented that the students were not only a credit to Leeds East Academy but to the Leeds community.
