Number Day 2018

Students vs. staff in a Maths battle for charity
Students at Leeds East Academy have taken part in Number Day 2018, raising money and awareness for the NSPCC.
The day was packed with activities and games including Jenga, cards and four-in-a-row. Throughout the day the students challenged their teachers with some maths questions and jotted down their answers on piece of card.
Students then gathered in the hall after school to watch a panel of pupils take on teachers in a ‘Numbers Battle’, featuring games such as ‘Eggheads’ and ‘The Chase’.
After some difficult head-to-head rounds, the students beat the teachers in the final chase round and were presented with medals by Mr Stokes.
