Northern Ballet Theatre Project

Thirty girls in Year 7 have been taking part in an annual project with Northern Ballet Theatre. The students have enjoyed collaborating in two ballet workshops, where they have learnt the basics of ballet and choreography from two Northern Ballet performances.

The dancers have also had the opportunity to attend the theatre to watch Romeo and Juliet, and will be going again to Leeds Grand this Thursday to watch Northern Ballet's production of Beauty and the Beast.

Ms Moss said: "The girls have enjoyed the experience of going to the theatre as well as learning something new. Through taking part in the ballet workshops they have improved their listening and concentration skills as well as developing the resilience needed to perform in such a disciplined style of dance. The girls have worked incredibly hard and were complimented by the NBT staff for their excellent behaviour and attitude towards their work."
