NASA tells Leeds East to Reach for the Stars! 

Before the Summer holidays, students from the top set of Year 7 Science wrote to NASA and expressed their interest in becoming astronauts, engineers or in some way contributing to the exploration of space.

 To their astonishment, last week Science Teacher Miss Haley had the pleasure of telling her students that NASA had replied - all the way from Washington DC!

Now in year 8, the pupils were thrilled to receive a reply. Comments were made that it was, "so cool!" and that they couldn't wait to show their parents!

 Miss Haley said “It is important for all our students to know that amazing opportunities are there for us all, we need to seek them out and follow our dreams. Who knows one of these pupils could be the one replying to a school in twenty years time...”
