Meet Leeds East Academy's KS4 Pastoral Team

Both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 have a dedicated Pastoral Team devoted to promoting rewards, supporting good behaviour and attendance. Meet our KS4 Pastoral Team;

Mr Carey, Behaviour and Attendance Leader (Top, Left) "I am delighted to have joined LEA this September. I have heard a lot of positive things about the vision for the future the school has and to be part of this journey to outstanding is something I am very excited about. I am a firm believer in ensuring young people have the chance to develop holistically both in and out of the classroom.

"I am a huge Leeds United fan and try to get to as many games as possible, which can make it difficult to work with Mr Campbell sometimes. The less said about his football team the better!!!!! I also enjoyed playing rugby union for Yarnbury RFC in Horsforth.

"My vision is for every student to achieve their full potential and develop skills, knowledge and experience to thrive. I am passionate about our young people moving onto a course post 16 that they will enjoy, will challenge them appropriately, and will give them the best possible chance to succeed in later life, whether that be at college, sixth form or an apprenticeship."

Miss Cheetham, KS4 Pastoral Leader (Middle) "I joined Leeds East Academy in January 2018 as a Teacher of Maths and have enjoyed every minute of working here. In September 2019 I started an exciting new role as Key Stage 4 Pastoral Leader: making a bigger difference to our young people who really deserve the best.

"I am looking forward to making a difference to our amazing young people and ensuring they have the high support to help them to succeed and achieve their full potential. I want our learners to feel safe and enjoy coming to Leeds East Academy.

"Leeds East Academy is a great place to work and I am excited to be on the amazing journey to becoming World Class."

Mr Campbell, Behaviour and Attendance Manager  (Top, Right) "I am very excited to  be part of the Leeds East Academy pastoral team. I come to the Leeds East Academy from The Whitehaven Academy in Cumbria where I have was the Year Manager for key stage 4.

"I have over 10 years experience of working in secondary schools and I'm very passionate about my job. I'm really looking forward to supporting the young people of Leeds East Academy, and their families, to fulfil their potential and achieve the outcomes they require to give them the best opportunities in the future."
