Leeds Charity Surprises LEA Family with Holiday Prize

Sarah Carrie, Principal, presenting the prize to the Osborne family

At Leeds East Academy, we regularly seek extra opportunities to support our community, which is why are delighted to have secured a free holiday prize for one of our families and reward them for their resilience.

The Leeds Skyrack Lions Club - a local charity group focused on serving the community - chose the Osborne family to receive the prize after receiving a nomination from Ms Cheetham and Ms Bean.

Schools around Leeds where all able to nominate a family who they believe deserve a free holiday break, with all nominations going to a panel for deciding.

Ms Cheetham and Ms Bean commented: : 'Emma Osborne (the mum of the family) is extremely supportive of the academy, our values and shares our high expectations. The family have overcome a range of challenges over the years and really deserve to have an enjoyable holiday away.'

Emma Osborne commented: 'I am speechless to have been nominated and put forward for this. It is an amazing opportunity and gives us something to look forward to after this difficult year.'

Sarah Carrie, Principal of Leeds East Academy, commented: 'We are absolutely delighted that the family are able to experience this fantastic opportunity. We hope they are able to have a wonderful family time together and create some special memories.'

LEA would also like to thank Ms Spink for putting in a lot of hard work to support our families, and for finding and sharing the holiday prize opportunity.
