Inspiring Assembly

On October 1st, parents and students attended an assembly which outlined the expectations for behaviour and attendance at Leeds East Academy.

Benjamin, a Trust Student Leader, spoke to the parents and students; followed by Mr Avram.

Mr Avram is a well- respected man and is a Pasteur at his local church. When he started to speak the whole hall fell completely silent. Mr Avram spoke about the following: 

• The support Leeds East Academy gave Mr Avram's family when his child first arrived here as one of the first Romanian families
• How lucky they are to be students at this school
• The support we put in place for students
• The respect they need to show
• The importance of school 

Parents, students and staff applauded Mr Avram when he finished his speech. 

Mr Avram will be coming at 2.40pm every Friday as an advocate for our parents. Here they can discuss homework or any current issues they may have.
