Students Meet Zak Hardaker

Inspirations within the Resilience and Determination programme.

Students from the Foundation School at Leeds East Academy were treated to a session with Leeds Rhinos and England Fullback Zak Hardaker at Headingley Stadium. This was part of the Resilience and Determination programme that students have been working on for over six weeks.

Mr Reynolds said: “Zak spent over an hour with the students, discussing his career and how he needed to overcome barriers similar to those of students in order to become successful.”

The students discussed their own behaviour with the England international and received advice on how they can improve their own performance within school. This was followed up by a boxing session with last year's Man of Steel, where students were able to demonstrate the skills that they have learnt over previous weeks.
