Book Buzz at Christmas

There was a real buzz in the library this week as every student in Year 7 received their free book choice from Bookbuzz.

Bookbuzz is a reading programme from Book Trust, which supports schools to encourage reading for pleasure, independent choice and develop a whole school reading culture.

Leeds East Academy students had the opportunity to choose their own book to keep from a list of 17 titles suitable for 11 - 13-year-olds and selected by a panel of experts.

“I’ve been so looking forwards to getting my book!” said one eager Year 7 student.  “It’s like Christmas came early!”

All of the Bookbuzz titles are now available to borrow from the Academy library.
