Christmas Hampers

It's that time of year when Leeds East Academy shows a little Christmas spirit towards the elderly members of our local community, through the distribution of food hampers.
The school is aiming to collect enough quality food items to make up to forty food hampers this year. We are very proud of our coaching groups, who are working together in aid of helping others, spreading happiness during the festive period.
The Academy is currently collecting long-life items (non-perishables) to assemble hampers. If you think you can contribute to the hamper project, some suitable items include: tea bags, coffee, biscuits, tinned meat / fish, tinned fruit and vegetables, chocolates, tinned soup, pasta, rice, cous cous, etc. All donations are greatly received before Thursday 8th December.
Mrs Mumby, Vice Principal, said: "This is an important incentive we support each year for our neighbours. Thank you to all students and staff for donating digestive biscuits, mushy peas and more in this great project which directly benefits our local community."
