Nurture group provision and afterschool activities
The nurture group provision is a small group provision specifically designed to meet the needs of students with moderate learning difficulties. The core lessons are taught by a specialist team of staff with significant experience in teaching students with special educational needs and have a teaching assistant attached to the group for additional support. They are placed in mixed ability groups for subject such as P.E., music, drama and technology, with support. Development of literacy skills, numeracy skills, communication and emotional regulation is embedded into all aspects of their curriculum.
School will ensure staffing ratios for special events and visits are appropriate to ensure children with SEND can take part in the activity as much as possible. After school activities are available and are differentiated to allow your child to take part.
