Leeds East Academy

Student of the Week

A High Achiever

Congratulations to Oliver in Year 9, who is Leeds East Academy’s Student of the Week.

Oliver works extremely hard in all of his subjects and is currently making excellent progress across many of his courses. Oliver has an incredible work ethic and excels when he is challenged in his lessons. Recent ‘Red Zone’ tasks have developed Oliver’s ability to problem-solve, increase his resiliency towards overcoming barriers and advanced his exam writing skills.

Mr Hart, BTEC Sport Teacher & KS4 Pastoral Leader, said: “Oliver is a model student who never ceases to amaze me with his excellent attitude towards learning and his own development in school. Oliver constantly demonstrates what a mature young man he is both around the Academy and in lessons by leading students and being a role model for others to emulate. Oliver is one of the students I am looking to develop into being a student leader by the time he reaches Year 11. This last week Oliver excelled in his Practical BTEC Sport lessons, showing resilience to overcome his own personal barrier to excel in his Softball development. He is clearly one of the highest achieving students in the group.”

Mr Stokes adds: "Well done Oliver - I am delighted at your progress and how you demonstrate the Leeds East Way in your conduct, whilst aspiring to succeed in all of your work. Maintain this excellent standard and continue to inspire others to do the same; success begins with the first decision to make an effort and your results are testament to your resilient attitude to learning."

Who will be the next Student of the Week? It could be you...
