Leeds Enactus Final
Wednesday 27th March saw three teams from LEA take part in the Enactus social enterprise project competition.
This competition focuses on social issues and encourages the younger generation to make a difference. Seven teams presented their projects and discussed how their work will help raise awareness and how they have worked as a team to develop ideas.
Our Student Parliament teams embodied the Academy values perfectly. The three teams that took part were Business and Finance, Health and Welfare.
The Welfare Department presented their Mental Health project where they shared their ideas of ways to help students to have a healthy mind-set, they worked alongside Chapel FM.
The Health Department informed the audience about how they were introducing their healthy eating incentive and how exercising helps develop mindfulness.
Finally, the Business and Finance Department presented their project about plastic waste, loneliness within the elderly community and how they intend to make a difference both locally and globally.
We are proud to say that the Business and Finance Department walked away with the most prestigious award of the day, The Regional Champions as well as the award of The Most Innovative Team.
