Exciting finale in the election process
As the first half term comes to a close we reach the exciting finale in the election process of our Student Parliament.
Over 240 candidates put themselves forward from all year groups to be elected to the Parliament easily filling the 100 spaces, two allocated for each form group.
Once elected by their peers, students had the decision to put themselves forward for a senior cabinet position or not.
After an incredibly difficult selection process consisting of a written letter and one-to-one interviews, six students remain in contention to be the Student Parliament's first Prime Minister.
The students now face a general election in which all students and staff are able to cast a vote to decide who will be our next Prime Minister.
